Projects

Here are my current projects, let me know if you’d like to give any of them a read

FILM:

Nose: feature, horror
A visceral clown school-cult thriller about being pushed to the edge of sanity while answering the question: what would you sacrifice for art? Inspiration: Black Swan, Midsommar, Whiplash, and The Hunger Games

Mouth Feel: feature, comedy
A horned-up buddy comedy about baristas in a high end hotel; chasing their dreams, trying to get laid, and absolutely taking down everything that gets in the way of those two things. Inspiration: Booksmart, Superbad, Pitch Perfect, and Party Down

Giant: feature, tragic drama
A tragedy about a legendary, old-school ad man who’s forced to meet the moment in our current cultural landscape and struggles to survive in the cutthroat corporate world he ultimately created. Inspiration: Madmen, Succession, and Babygirl

Feels Like Home: feature, romantic drama
A bisexual love triangle, midwestern, rom-dram-edy anchored by grief and family, exploring what it means to grow into who you are while not leaving where you’re from behind. Inspiration: Sweet Home Alabama, Twister, Chef, and Kissing Jessica Stein

Say Hi to Dave: feature, family
A feel-good film about how sometimes we keep our family life and our real life separate, the complications that arise when the two come crashing together, and how maybe, just maybe, the people we love deserve the chance to love us in our entirety. Inspiration: Happiest Season, The Peanut Butter Falcon, The Farewell, and Good Morning America

Curtains!: (work in progress) feature, murder mystery
A campy whodunnit that delightfully and deliciously plays off theatre-people stereotypes; pitting the old-guard of a New York institution against the up-and-coming generation that’s threatening to change it all. Inspiration: Knives Out, The Birdcage, and Clue

TELEVISION:

Cat People: 30 minute sitcom, four season arc
An accidentally agoraphobic New Yorker realizes her only friend is her cat, so she decides to go out into the world and hilariously attempt to befriend other cat people. Inspiration: Broad City, High Maintenance, The Other Two, and Cat Memes

Pray for Her: 60 minute drama, three season arc
The cracks begin to show in the foundation of a supposedly progressive evangelical church in the midwest as secrets surrounding six women (and the men they’re attached to) expand and unravel. Inspiration: Big Little Lies, The Secrets of Hillsong, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and Handmaid’s Tale
